Chronic Hepatitis C (Hep-C), caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV), primarily affects the liver. 75% of the approx. 4million with HCV infection in the US are baby boomers (born between 1945 and 1965). Hep C continues to be the number one cause of liver cancer and liver transplants in US. 75 % of infected patients are unaware of their disease state and number of patients dying from Hep-C continues to increase.
Although there is no vaccine for Hep-C, there is a CURE! Chronic infection can be treated with the right medications. A patient is considered cured when the virus cannot be detected in their bloodstream 3 months after treatment is completed.
Community Hep-C Clinic is dedicated to fight this global pandemic and improve the quality of life of our patients.
